Tae Kwon Do Terminology

WHITE BELTS

1. Step forward with your left leg (front stance) with a middle inward left hand block. Right hand reverse punch to the body.  Left hand reverse punch to the body. Right hand reverse punch to the face. (KIAP)

2. Step forward with your left leg (front stance) with a middle inward left hand block. Spin to your right and do a right reverse elbow strike to the face. (KIAP)

YELLOW BELTS

3. Step right into a fighting stance. Right leg front kick to the body. Right hand reverse punch to the body. Left hand reverse punch to the body.  (KIAP)

4. Step back into a fighting stance.  Left leg side kick. Right leg high round kick to the face.  (KIAP)

ORANGE BELTS

5. Step back into a fighting stance. Outside to inside crescent kick to opponent's hand. Back kick opposite leg. (KIAP)

6. Step right into a fighting stance. Jump front kick to the face. Opposite leg back kick. (KIAP)

GREEN BELTS

7. Step forward with your right leg, execute a left "knife" hand outward block to your opponents punch and a  right "knife" hand inward         strike to your opponent's side of their neck. Perform Osoto-gari takedown with your right leg sweeping your opponent's right leg. Reverse punch. (KIAP)

8. Step back into a fighting stance. Back leg axe kick. High round kick to the face with the same leg. (KIAP)

PURPLE BELTS

9. Step forward with your left leg into a front stance and perform a left hand inward middle block, then a knife hand strike to the groin. Bring your right leg behind your opponent's front leg and sweep their leg. Reverse punch. (KIAP)

10. Step backin a fighting stance; perform an outside-in crescent kick with your back leg, and a spin crescent kick with the opposite leg. (KIAP)


BLUE BELTS

11. Step back into a fighting stance. Perform a fast low round double (second kick is to the face). (KIAP)

12. Step back with your left leg into a fighting stance. With your front leg (right) perform a step up hook kick then high round without putting your foot down. (KIAP)

NAVY BELTS

13. Step back with your left leg in a fighting stance. Jump axe kick with your lead leg (right), then jump round to the face with the same leg. (KIAP)

14. Step back into a fighting stance. Outside to inside crescent kick, jump spin crescent kick with the opposite leg. (KIAP)

BROWN BELTS

15. Step back into a fighting stance. Back leg spin hook to a jump back kick. (KIAP)

16. Step back into a fighting stance. Jump 360 back kick off the front leg. (KIAP)


RED BELTS

17. Step back in a fighting stance. Outside in crescent kick with the back leg to a spin butterfly kick. ** MAKE SURE YOUR OPPONENT MOVES BACKWARDS ** (KIAP)

18. Step back into a fighting stance. While moving around your opponent with minimal steps, perform a jump front kick, jump side kick, jump back and jump round kick. (KIAP)

RED BELTS WITH BLACK STRIPE

19. Step back into a fighting stance. Perform a jump 360 spin hook kick off the front leg. (KIAP)

20. Step back into a fighting stance. Perform an outside in crescent kick followed by three spinning butterfly kicks.
